Another Thai favorite (and an easy one to do). Takes 10 minutes to cook and is a great starter (before Thai Beef Salad or Thai Green Curry).
You’ll need:
- 12 tiger prawns
- 3 cups water
- 1 to 2 teaspoon Tom Yam Paste
- 1 tablespoon Thai fish sauce
- 2 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- A couple of stalks lemon grass
- 12 (yes, 12 according to the recipe) mushroom of 2 sorts
- 1 Thai green chili (optional)
- 2 tablespoon chopped coriander (cilantro) leaves
- 1 tablespoon spring onions (scallions)
Put the water to boil in a pan. Start preparing the ingredients. Once boiling, add the Tom Yom paste (1 spoon for the weak ones, 2 spoons for the braves), the Thai Fish Sauce, the lime juice, the sugar and chili (optional)
