Final acceptance done. This house will be ours by tomorrow.
Our first yard sale, trying to offload some of our belongings before the move…
Only 2 weeks to go until completion of the house. The garden is finished. Floors are being put in and last finishing touches are being added.
With only 2-3 weeks to go, we are now done with most of the structural work. We now have a patio and an embryo of garden, with tons of baby trees.
Add to this that our loan is now secured and that we should lock our interest rate next week.
I guess we’ll be packing all weekend…
Another week, another set of progress on our house. Only four weeks to go until work should be completed.
This week, progress includes doors that lock (I had to find a sneaky way in via the back door and open to the family), a driveway, all lights, lamps, bulbs and sockets and our first appliance (our new microwave oven) which sadly has a tiny dent which will not pass Sarah’s precise inspection of the house.
Another week, another set of progress on the house front.
This week, to our surprise, we realised that we now have doors (front and back and inside) and some of the cabinets have shown up (Kitchen, bathrooms, etc).
Colors have been added both inside and outside.
Still on target for mid march.
This is still work in process. We are 6 weeks from completion and have now walls and stairs. I might not have had my hard hat on, but please don’t let the builders know!
